Recently installed in P3D v4.5 and whenever I run the executable I receive an unhandled exception error. It states it cannot find the requested data item, such as a data key or value. If I hit the continue button the executable will open, but it's a bit of a pain and I don't have the computer savvy to remedy it. Can you offer any advice?

If I hit the continue button the executable will open, but it's a bit of a pain and I don't have the computer savvy to remedy it. Can you offer any advice? That does sound annoying! First, a few questions: 1. Did you run the installer as admin? 2. Right Click on the exe > select properties > select the Compatibility tab > check Runs this program as an administrator 3. Are you using the French language pack? If #3 is yes and/or 1 & 2 dont work, let me know and I'll send you a new installer to remove the security method...

Not running #3 and complied with #'s 1 and 2 and problem still exists. I guess I'm gonna need the new installer you referenced. Thanks for your attention to the matter.

Thanks for the feedback, Redeye! I was able to duplicate the problem; the error occurs when the program attempts to configure your input device; in short, you must not have a mic connected to your computer. No worries, I corrected for this situation and pushed a new installer to SimMarket. Give them a few days to upload, then download/install at your convenience. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, sir! 1. Download the file from SimMarket 2. Close FSFOCRJ 3. Navigate to the FSFOCRJ Directory 3a. Copy your lic.dat and user.cfg files to a safe location 3b. Navigate to the Downloads file and copy the FSFOCRJ_PRO.exe to a safe location 4. Uninstall FSFOCRJ via Control Panel or FSFOCRJ uninstall option 5. Right Click on the downloaded FSFOCRJ1_*.exe and “Run as Administrator” 6. Navigate to the FSFOCRJ Directory 6a. Copy your lic.dat and user.cfg files to the FSFOCRJ Main directory

Thanks for your attention to this matter. I will do as you instructed, but, a side note, I do not have a mic connected to my computer. I don't know if this makes a difference or not.

That's why the error message is being generated, Redeye; it's looking for a mic. It was really an oversight on my part; I shouldn't have expected everyone to have mic connected.

Thanks Matthew works great! I also have a request similar to one made in another forum....can you please offer first officer sound files of a higher volume? Very difficult to hear in the CRJ. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Matthew...unfortunately I've been having some problems I need to tell you about. First, at my set altitude (400') for speed mode engage, my system sets ALT mode instead. Does it every time. That one I can live with for a while, but the second one is really bad. When performing an ILS landing, both engines cut off right at or just before touchdown. I've tried the same flights without FSFO and don't experience this problem. BTW, in my profile I've tried "Manage ILS" checked and unchecked and it still exhibits the same problem. Hope you can give me some insight as to how to correct these problems. I just reinstalled FSFO, but haven't tried it out yet.
Regards,
Redeye

Regards, Redeye For the first problem, I just checked the method and looks correct; however, there could be a problem with the Local Variable...I'll have to ask the developer if I'm using the right LVAR. For the second problem, are you engines off, or is your throttles set to idle? If it's the latter, its possible there's an issue with the Mng Cruise Thrust option; however, this would only be a factor if you were not executing the decent checklist. Please disable that option via the user config screen > Mng Cruise Thrust and Mng_Clb Thrust options and try your flight again. If your engine are cutting off, I'm at a lost...that only happens during the shutdown flow. FSFO does not mess with your engines at any other time. Also, does this only happen on ILS approaches?

In answer to your questions Matthew...tried the flight again after reinstalling. The first problem still exists. Tried the landing utilizing an RNAV approach and the engines didn't cut off, so apparently it's something with the ILS approach. As far as your original question concerning the second problem, my engines were not off nor set to idle. Hope this helps. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Update: Tried another ILS flight, this is after the reinstall mentioned above, and experienced no engine cutoff.
Further update: Tried another ILS flight, the original problem flight, with the manage T/O and manage cruise enabled and everything worked just fine. I think something was wacky with my original install. The only problem that still exists is speed mode still won't engage unless I do it manually.

I'm glad you got it figured out! I'll work on the speed mode and get it updated within the next week; in fact, I'm thinking about redoing the CRJ altogether to bring it up to the current FSFO standard.

Observation...when I fly out of Flightbeam KDEN and KPHX, the speed mode engages properly. Those are the only 2 airports so far that it works. Strange that they are payware. Just food for thought as you tackle the problem, Regards Redeye

Hi Matthew! Hope this finds you well during these crazy times. Just curious as to any progress on the CRJ as we haven't heard from you in a while concerning this aircraft.
