1. Go to FSFO > Data Directory a. Copy the user.dat file to a safe location outside the FSFO directory b. Copy the acft.dat file to a safe location outside the FSFO directory c. Copy the acftLoc.dat file to a safe location outside the FSFO directory 2. Uninstall FSFO via Windows Add or Remove Program option, or running unins000.exe in the FSFO main director 3. Delete your FSFO folder 4. Run the FSFO.exe 5. Wait for the FSFO installation to complete 6. Copy and paste the user.dat, acft.dat and acftLoc.dat files from step 1 into FSFO > Data Directory 7. If you’re using a sound region other than English 1, go to FSFO > … > Configuration > Audio and select your region a. Wait for it to download b. Test all the options 8. Go to FSFO > … > Configuration > Click UPDATE NAVDATA (10 to 15 min) a. This is needed to generate the file necessary for Gate assignments 9. Go to FSFO > … > Configuration > ADV OPTIONS > Click CREATE ADV FILE a. Several of the options have changed 10. Go to FSFO > … > Configuration > OPTIONS a. Select the ground options you want; they were removed from the advanced options 11. Go FSFO > … > Company > Click LOG BOOK a. You will be asked if you want to create a log box, click yes

Quick note regarding UPDATE NAVDATA: If you are using Addon Linker to manage which addon airport packages are active, it's a good idea to enable them all before doing UPDATE NAVDATA. Some of those addon airports may contain changes to gate assignments.
Once UPDATE NAVDATA is complete, one can reset which addon airports are active as needed.

I came in here just to say congratulations you added at least 4 processes that I was thinking of suggesting, your addon is worth every penny, after PMDG it was the best purchase in my opinion, keep it up you'll go far and soon I'll buy it for you the Phoenix.

Thank you, Ernani! FSFO still has a long way to go; however, I really do like the progress we've made in this update.

Hi there, I followed all the steps below and updated to 1.2.9.0. Everything works fine also with GSX Pro. But when I reach TOC and the crew starts servicing the pax in FSFO, MSFS freezes and crashes. While MSFO keeps on going servicing the PAX. I encountered this twice in a row. The first time I wasn't behind my PC and MSFS was frozen but not crashed to desktop. I had to CTRL, ALT, DEL out of MSFS. The second time I was behind my PC and the freeze occured right at the start of service after reaching TOC. This time the sim crashed to desktop within 10 seconds. FSFO was still running like nothing happened. Not sure if more people encounter this, but it happened only after updating to 1.2.9.0 after following exactly the steps below. Love the update, it works like a charm with GSX Pro and I enjoy the new features a lot. But I cant use it if it crashes the sim when service starts. I havent tried to turn off auto service and start it manually. Or not start service at all, but then the passangers won't be happy i guess. Thanks for your reaction, Greets from Holland. 1. For some reason, my aircraft licences disappeared, and I got unhandled exception errors when trying to put the licences back in. To cut a long story short, after many re install attempts of FSFO, I decided to format my drive, re install windows, and FS2020,I have meticulously followed instructions. When I try to input the licence information for either of my two Aircraft, I get an unhandled exception error. I have installed as Admin, and Antivirus is off. I have tried installing to C drive as well as other drives. Yes, I have removed the directory after uninstalling at each attempt. Banging my head against the wall here. Please advise. I have licences for FBW and Fenix A320's, but these Unhandled exception errors are driving me to distraction. I have checked FSUIPC is showing LVARS, and the WASM is fine. I have also changed Scan delay to 60 as per instructions. I have tried using my old user dat files and tried not using them. Same result: Still get unhandled exception errors when inputting licences. I also get the unhandled exception when putting in the Product, and my email address. The whole licence page is busted. Doing my head in...... Kind regards.... Me

My BIOS has a line which options the enabling of CSM. The default for this is OFF. Mine had been mysteriously enabled, which caused the exception errors. Returning the CSM option to Disabled, restored FSFO's ability to recognise my purchased Aircraft. Well done Matt.

Downloading the latest update and wondering if we need to uninstall FSFO or can we just install over the current installed version?

Downloading the latest update and wondering if we need to uninstall FSFO or can we just install over the current installed version? Just install over-the-top, unless it says differently in the change log on the top of this page.
