Unfortunately no; FSFO has no way of communicating the assigned gate to GSX.

That assigns you a gate; however, it's not connected to GSX. You'll have to manually tell GSX what gate you want to use.

It reads a file to chose a gate based on your aircraft size.

In FSFO Configuration, select "Update Navdata". This will create the necessary files, which are located in the "navdata" folder within the fsfo folder.
Note: It is a good idea that this be done every time you add or update an airport scenery in your community folder, or after MSFS updates the sim, or after an AIRAC cycle is released.
