Taxi and Take Off Requests are not being made.

The above requests are shown in Violet color and are not being made by the FO.

Is there any way to change this and have him make the requests?

Spoils the realism and immersion IMHO.

Any suggestions will be welcomed by this Newbie.

The items in Violet are the pilots responsibility. I suspect you're the realistic crew options. If you would like the FO to execute most of duties, go to FSFO > ... > Configuration > SOPS > Change REALISTIC CREW OPS to NO
